Benbow Deck of the National Association of Seadogs (NAS) on Friday, June 16th took its Free Medical Outreach to Aruogba Community in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State.

Led by its Capoon, Dr. Chris Ekiyor, the Benbow Deck in line with the NAS service to humanity mantra attended to almost 270 patients dispensing free eyeglasses, replacing dentures for missing teeth, giving anti-malaria and antibiotic drugs and vitamins, deworming children.

From all indices the programme, which lasted from 10am to 6pm, was a very successful outing.

In the same vein, the NAS carried out a community project by the Iriri Primary School where it installed a Zebra Crossing sign and made Zebra markings on the road to reduce traffic to enable the school pupils have access to cross the road when they have closed because of the reckless over speeding of drivers, particularly commercial drivers at that axis.

In attendance at the programme was the national Capoon, Abiola Owoaje, who unveiled the Zebra Crossing and spent his evening at the Benbow Anchor Point(AP) where he commended the seadogs and the partners, RAHI Medical Outreach for the commendable service they are rendering.

The Ohen of Aruogba Community was also in attendance. He commended the efforts of the seadogs. He promised that he would be partnering with the seadogs in everything that they’re doing because the community was overwhelmed whence the government could not afford to maintain the health centre they lost it to the landlord.

“The health centre had to move. We moved in to fill in that gap. It is commendable and the Ohen and the chiefs in the palace were very happy,” Ekiyor stated.
