Hon. Dennis Idahosa, the member representing Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in Abuja, has disclaimed the alleged involvement of his convoy in a ghastly auto crash recently that claimed the life of a woman with a threat to take legal action against one Albert Obazee and Hon. Gabriella Omosede Igbinedion, daughter of Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom, whom he defeated to assume his position in Abuja.
In a statement, the lawmaker asserted: “My attention has been drawn to a statement by one Omosede Igbinedion and one Albert Obazee that my Convoy was involved in an accident and killed a Woman at Okada.
“To clear the air, I accompanied Ovia North East Chapter of the All Progressives Congress to a rally at Uhen, then used the opportunity to commission one of my completed water projects in the community.
“After which I left for Benin. Information later got to me that there was an accident at Okada after I had left Uhen.
“There was no record of accident, as at the time I passed Okada. My convoy consist of a Black Prado Jeep and a Toyota Hilux only and neither of both vehicles were involved in any accident.
“At this point I’m taking legal actions against Albert Obazee and Omosede Igbinedion for character defamation.
“This is to let the public know that whatever information been passed out by these named elements is totally false, there’s no element of truth in it.
“While I commiserate with the family of the accident victim, I want urge our security agencies to conduct a proper investigation on the incident as it affect my person.”
