Edo State Police Command under the leadership of CP Betty Enekpen Isokpan Otimenyin, has been living up to its promise to bring crime to its knees in the state.
Barely a week after the gruesome murder of a deaf and dumb man, Efe Ogbeide, in Obazagbon, her operatives have arrested eight suspects said to have played active roles in the sordid incident.
The Command asserted that normalcy has been restored after days of rage over leadership tussle in the community which has been embroiled in violence.
Names of all the suspects in police net are Obayuwana Happy (25), Uhunwangho Everest (52), 21-year-old Chidera Umeh, Joshua Edo (50), Simon Benjamin (39), Odion Adagbonyin (43), Kennedy Ohro 42yrs and 41-year-old Osayi Adagbonyin.
The prompt arrest of the suspects was made possible by the Divisional Police Officer(DPO) of Iyekogba Division in league with Operatives of the “Operation Rescue” and Anti-Kidnapping Unit.
CP Otimenyin, has vowed that “all those found culpable would be made to face the full wrath of the law” while reiterating that “the Command’s resolve to ensure that the safety of lives and properties remains paramount in the state.”
