Pamela Emairu strongly contends for Owan East Council chairmanship position

Pamela Archer Emairu is leaving no stone unturned in her desire to become the Chairman of Owan East Local Government Council of Edo State.

She has a rich pedigree in health education and has promised to let the background count for her as she march forth towards the Owan East Local Government Council headquarters office.

A woman of substance she hails from Ovbiomu Emai in Owan East Local Government Area. She was born into the family of late S.O. Emairu in Afugba Quarters.

She attended New Era College, Benin City from where she moved to the State School of Nursing and then the State School of Midwifery. She also attended the School of Health Technology graduating with HND in Public Health Nursing.

Emairu proceeded to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Science. Later at the University of Benin(Uniben) she obtained a BSc in Local Government Administration. She later obtained a Masters in Health Planning and Management.

Presently, the mother of three is awaiting her result in her PHD Health Financing and Budgeting programme at the University of Benin.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member had her political tutelage when she was appointed as Senior Special Assistant(SSA) to the Governor on Health Matters.
