During the visit, the group’s Coordinator, Mr Godwin Ovu, congratulated the Chairman and his new team on their appointments. He highlighted the significant contributions the Chairman has made to the PDP, particularly noting that under his leadership, the party entered government for the first time in 2020 after being in opposition for over 12 years.

Additionally, he praised Dr. Aziegbemi’s leadership for securing a majority in the state House of Assembly for the first time in 16 years. The Coordinator expressed gratitude for the Chairman’s service, dedication and resilience.

Furthermore, he reaffirmed the group’s continued support and solidarity with the PDP, especially in light of the recent senseless attacks on the state Secretariat by APC thugs.

He expressed his confidence that the tribunal will do the right thing by returning the stolen mandate freely given by Edo people during the governorship elections of September 21, 2024.
