Ayiwola Federal Constituency, comprising; Ayedire, Iwo and OlaOluwa Local Governments, witnessed a vibrant display of unity and political engagement as thousands of supporters participated in the “Walk to Win” rally in support of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the August 8, 2026, Osun State election.

The rally, powered by philanthropist and politician, Chief (Dr) Peter Taiwo Ogundeji, popularly known as APATA, cut across Ayedire, Iwo and Olaoluwa Local Government Areas, transforming major streets into channels of mobilisation and renewed party enthusiasm. The initiative formed part of a strategic grassroots effort designed to consolidate support for AMBO ahead of the decisive poll.

Spanning over two kilometres, the Walk-to-Win procession commenced at L.A. Grammar School, Oke Bode, along Oyo Road in Iwo, where party leaders and supporters first assembled.

From there, the march moved through Iwo Roundabout to Palace Square, proceeded to Oke Odo, and terminated at the LCDA Secretariat, Olomo Wewe, in the Bowen University axis of Iwo.

The procession featured local government chairmen, members of their cabinets, political leaders and hundreds of enthusiastic supporters who chanted party slogans and waved banners throughout the route.

Representing the Osun State APC Chairman, Hon. Tajudeen Lawal, the Iwo APC Chairman, Engr. Olasunkanmi Olaniyi James, commended members for their impressive turnout and unwavering commitment. Engr. Olaniyi urged supporters to extend mobilisation efforts beyond the rally by taking the message of AMBO’s candidacy from house to house, expressing confidence that the party would secure victory.

The Osun State APC Youth Leader, Hon. Adegoke Akinwemo, applauded the enthusiasm and readiness of young people across the constituency, charging them to remain steadfast and intensify voter mobilisation. He described the forthcoming election as pivotal to the political future of the state and encouraged youths to turn out en masse on election day.

Similarly, the APC Osun West Senatorial Youth Leader, Hon. Imran Majeed Adekunle, called for unity among young voters, urging them to deliver overwhelming support for Oyebamiji at the polls.

The APC Osun West Senatorial Women Leader, Mrs Funmilayo Adegbile, also appealed to women across Ayiwola Federal Constituency to stand firm and play their critical role as key mobilisers during elections.

The Executive Chairmen of Ayedire, Iwo and Olaoluwa Local Governments, Hon. Adigun Adejare, Hon. Kamali Adeniyi and Hon. Olaleye Babatunde, expressed appreciation to Chief (Dr) Peter Taiwo Ogundeji – APATA for initiating the rally. They noted that the exercise significantly boosted morale within party ranks and strengthened grassroots structures ahead of the governorship election.

Addressing the crowd at the termination point, Chief Ogundeji, who is aspiring for the Osun West Senatorial District ticket to contest in the 2027 election, thanked party leaders, stakeholders and supporters for what he described as a historic demonstration of unity.

Chief Ogundeji emphasised that the movement was not merely symbolic but a collective commitment to ensuring the emergence of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as Governor of Osun State on August 8, 2026.

According to him, sustained mobilisation, strategic canvassing and unity of purpose would be critical to achieving success at the polls.

Dignitaries at the event included party chairmen across Ayedire, Iwo and Olaoluwa LGAs, executive council chairmen, youth and women leaders, and other key stakeholders within the APC structure in Osun West.

The rally concluded with a unified declaration from party leaders and supporters that Osun West is mobilised, energised and ready to translate the momentum of the walk into votes on election day.
