Similarly, Ugiagbe noted: “The governor has honoured the people in Ukpato Ward by giving over three sons of the community political appointments in his administration. We promise the governor that 90 per cent of the votes in Ukpato Ward will be for the PDP. Failing to do this, we will all resign our appointments.”

On his part, Deputy Director-General of Edo State PDP Campaign Council, Gideon Ikhine, said: “In moving Edo State forward, one needs to separate politics from governance and this is what Governor Obaseki has tried to establish in the state.

“Unfortunately, some people want to mix governance with politics, thereby creating a platform to share the people’s wealth and determine how the governor should govern his people. They forget that Obaseki is not a ruler but a leader with exceptional qualities.”

He added: “Edo people have realised that the governor needs to be given more time to achieve his aim and vision of improving the well-being of the people.  There is a silent revolution going on in the state; the people are calling on the governor to continue for another four years.”
