Support Tinubu, Oba of Benin charge governors

Human rights activist and Director of Mobilisation and Contact of the Labour Party (LP) in the Diaspora, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor (aka Ultimate Equals), has charged President Muhammadu Buhari to step out and address Nigerians – Muslims and Christians – on whose side he is on the current issues in the country, either on the side of the people or on the side of their oppressors.

“We hear that you are talking about leaving a legacy behind when you’re leaving office on Monday, May 29th, 2023. I guess what INEC boss, Yakubu Mahmood did whereby he disappointed the entire country is not what you’re talking about.

“You should issue a goodwill message for the Easter and Ramadan to heal the nation which is bleeding. You can no longer keep mute because when things are happening as the number one citizen and nobody is hearing from you; nobody knows where you’re standing whether on the side of the people or on the side of their oppressors who don’t want this country to remain one.

“You fought the civil war. You know how is it, that war is not beautiful. Please come out and address this nation. Give us hope as a father and tell us all is well. You’re going to make sure that before you leave we are going to have a credible election using BVAS.

“Say something or else your mute would be seen as agreeing with what’s going on presently in Nigeria.”

Going further, Eholor said: “If Nigeria is going to be a great country we will all have to join hands to achieve it. The last election and issues arising has exposed a lot of Nigerians who are tribal bigots, who have being playing divide and rule.

“Talk of the likes of Festus Keyamo who have nothing to offer this country. Keyamo is operating contrary to what his mentor, Gani Fawehinmi, stands for.

In the past Femi Fani-Kayode had said so many things against President Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It is better when you don’t have anything meaningful to say you should remain mute. This is the same Fani-Kayode that the then Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi accused on national TV of stealing N2billion which is money meant to repair the airport.

“Why is it that Nigeria is the only country where a thief will call a thief a thief. $800 million is going to be borrowed as a welfare package for Nigerians because the pump price of fuel is going to be increased between N300 and N700 per litre.

“I am advising the federal government not to take that loan. I will instruct my lawyer to stop that loan because they cannot give my grandchildren more debt to inherit. This administration is about to leave. They want to collect that they will share between themselves.”

On noble laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, Eholor stressed: “You can see how Professor Anthony Kila exposed Professor Soyinka’s deceit. This is a man that we usually respect as a civil rights icon. In the mid 1960s he was the one that pulled a gun preventing Akintola from being announced as winner of an election saying that the election was not free and fair.”
