Emokpae/Douala All Stars took to the pitch on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Emokpae Primary School on Mission Road, Benin for their annual end of year match and ceremony.
The pitch was filled with ex-soccer greats most of whom in their prime time dorned the national team colours or jersies of reputable football clubs in the country.
Majority of them base at home and the others in diaspora, who are now football coaches, sports administrators or business men, gave the mammoth crowd of football enthusiasts who thronged the venue to watch them a lot to talk about.
Their dexterity and display on the ball coupled with their positioning when they were off it elicited applause from the fans and they became the cynosure of all eyes.
Some of the notable ex-football players who participated in the game included Friday Elahor, Baldwin Bazuaye, Isaac Semitoje, Monday Agbontaen and Loveday Omoruyi.
After the encounter, the ex-footballers hosted all and sundry to a befitting lunch with drinks just as the Deejay supplied music to spice the occasion.
