Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has continued to deliver on his campaign promises to the residents of the acclaimed heartbeat state.
Recently while on a tour of road construction sites across the metropolitan area of the state overjoyed residents of the state gave a pass mark to the administration for its numerous milestone achievements in the road sector.
A landlord in Ekiuwa – University of Benin Road axis(Upper Temboga) of Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area, Edward Ugboyobi, showered encomium on Governor Okpebholo for bringing life back to the locality after several years of its been deserted because of gully erosion. The reclamation of the locality involved the filling of the Ekiuwa gully by the state government.
“I am very happy at the pace of work of reclamation going on here. For a very long time, we have not been able to access our houses but now, those who left before are coming back to their abandoned houses,” Ugboyobi exclaimed.
For months, Agbonkina Street, Off Ekenhuan Road in Egor Local Government Area, was impassable until Governor Okpebholo intervened with Hartland Civil Engineering Construction Company been handed the contract to bring the street to good shape.
While expressing his gratitude to Governor Okpebholo, a resident of the area, Scott Osayi, said that when the project is completed, it will boost the economy of the area.
In his own testimony, Osagie Aigbeken, who has resided in the community for over two decades, stressed with the prompt intervention of Governor Okpebholo in bringing the road to good quality better days are here for the residents.
Governor Okpebholo also intervened in the Upper Ekenhuan Road project and Textile Mill Road with spurs(asphalting of Aghedo Street and road markings on Textile Mill Road) as he continued to fund them to ensure completion.
Others included Charismatic Church Road, Ugbuiyoko in Egor Local Government Area whose contract is been handled by McFran Environmental Resources Ltd.
It was also observed during the tour that the Ramat Flyover Bridge project is in progress to address the gridlock in the area.
