Group accuse Benin Chief of working against Oba of Benin’s interest

Benin group disowns Ndi-Eze in Edo South community

It could be recall that few months ago, Governor Godwin Obaseki connived with some self-centered and deviant Enigies in view to requesting for their independence as against the law of the land and long aged tradition and custom of Benin Kingdom.

It is on record that the aforementioned actions of Godwin Obaseki is not unconnected with his inability to take custody of our stolen artefacts. Having view the said self-centered and deviant Enigies actions as sacrilegious and barbaric.

His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, Oba of Benin Kingdom, who made them Enigies as the tradition and custom of the kingdom demands, suspended some of the self-centered and deviant Enigies who were censurable.

Regrettably, while in China, Godwin Obaseki in a last minute execution of his sacrilegious plans against our revered Throne and Benin Kingdom, ordered his Commissioner For Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Monday Osaigbovo, to inaugurate some of the self-centered and deviant Enigies as members of local government traditional councils across the seven local government areas of Edo South but his plans were thwarted with court order.

Surprisingly, upon receiving the court order from Palace functionaries, the Commissioner For Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Monday Osaigbovo, hurriedly changed the arrangement put in place for the sacrilegious inauguration to peace and security meeting where they planned to carry out their abomination plans at Ovia North East Local Government Secretariat.

However, we would not have bothered to dwell on this matter but it is now very clear that Governor Obaseki is unrepentant and is bent on not listening to the voice and wise counsel of Edo people to back down from his sacrilegious plans and actions against our revered Throne and Benin Kingdom which are clearly seen by the blind and audible to the deaf.

Hence, the need to remind all sons and daughters of great Benin Kingdom across the globe to remain vigilant and dutiful in defense and protection of our revered Throne and Benin Kingdom at all times.

Signed:

Mr. Iyamu Osaro Culture – President

Comrade Collins Osaghae Amadin – Secretary General

Mr. Lolo Usoh
BOT Chairman
