Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor has stated that nobody is above the law, not even President Muhammadu Buhari.

“People must be taught a lesson. There must be a deterrent for any offence committed in Nigeria. If you cannot stand the heat don’t go to the kitchen. Nobody is above the law not even the President, not even the governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki. Not even me. I am not above the law.

“We have good laws. Implementation is the problem. Whether you talk about the judiciary that has become cash and carry. Whether you talk about the police stations where you have to bail yourself for any offence. Whether you talk about the police when you kill an innocent person so long as you can afford the burial and you inform the police the case is over.

“Nigeria entirely needs reform because Nigeria does not have institutions. Until Nigeria have institutions  nothing will work in this country. There are so much power in the hands of very few men who think they are God and they play the demigod.”

On plots by some cabals to sabotage the monetary policies of the government, Chief Eholor said: “I don’t believe that speculation. That’s something you don’t blame the President for. He is not working in the bank. That’s something you don’t blame Emefiele (Governor of CBN) for in as much as I don’t like him but this is not in his hands. It is among us, the civilians who are very corrupt who want to go and show off in the church and pay tithes.

“Who are corporate criminals? They’re the bankers. High ranking officials in the banks. You see how the ICPC and EFCC are bursting them. The money is right there. They refused to load it. They refused to pay people with it. They like to roundtrip. They syndicate the money to POS operators. They have their agents. They go to parties and sell these monies at the expense of us.

“Those bank managers should be taught a lesson. They should go to jail. They should confiscate their properties. Let their wives and children suffer so they know the suffering on us.”
