Honourable Osaro Obazee, the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the House of Representatives seat of Oredo Federal Constituency, has promised not to let the expectations of his constituents down in their desire for a credible representation, he made the promise in a chat with Popular News.
“Anybody who performed creditably in any position that he has been given before will have to replicate the performance in whatever position he aspires to in future.
“I believe that my coming into politics is to ensure that we get a better life for our people and even the legislative arm of the government is the organ that has the powers to make good laws that will affect the lives of the people in a positive way.
“I will ensure that the proper laws are put in place that will affect the lives of our people in a positive direction.”
On creating job opportunities for the youths, Obazee said: “The responsibility of the government is to create enabling environment that will bring about investors that will create employment for the youths.
“How many can the Ministry of Local Government, for instance, take as employees? Very few. By the time we put our federating units in proper shape and everything is working out accordingly you will see that the private sector will drive the economy by providing jobs and all that.
“The business of government is to provide the regulatory role to protect the rights of employees if it is going to be trampled on. Employment will come if the government is responsible enough to provide the enabling environment, security, power etc.”
