Wednesday, May 8th, Comrade Festus Alenkhe, the Chairman of the Edo State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists(NUJ), will line up as one of the honorees of the Nigerian Red Cross Society(NRC), Edo State Branch.
Comrade Alenkhe is the immediate past Chairman of the NRC, Edo State Branch. He is being honoured in recognition of his outstanding meritorious humanitarian service to the society.
This was detailed in a letter signed by the branch Secretary, Wilson Ekhomogiazin which conveyed the message to Alenkhe. The letter indicated that Alenkhe served the Nigerian Red Cross Society meritoriously for more than 30years.
The award/honour ceremony, according to the letter, will hold during the commemoration of the 2024 World Red Cross Day celebration on Wednesday, May 8, at the Secretariat of the NRC situated in Red Cross Crescent, Off Ikpokpan Road, GRA, Benin City. The programme starts at 12 noon.
