Niger Delta students have denounced social vices been the outcome of Niger Delta Students Union Government (NIDSUG) Education Summit/Campaign Against Oil Bunkering, Oil Theft and All Social Vices held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State last week which had notable personalities and students from the nine states of the Niger Delta in attendance.
The two days programme, whose theme is empowering minds and shapening the future for a better Niger Delta and tagged embrace virtues not vices, had as panel of discussants representatives of Tantita Security Service, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the NDPM and Dr. Emmanuel Urhobo, the representative of the Life Members Forum Of NIDSUG.
The deliberation was insightful and lovely keeping the students on the edge of their seats throughout its duration. The programme came to a climax with some students winning scholarships and other forms of empowerment.
Day 2 of the programme was the flag off of the campaign against social vices where the students of the different states of the region led by Comrade Scott Uyi Osasere Ogunseri, National President of NIDSUG, hit the streets to denounce social vices.
Major sponsors of the programme included Tantita Security Service, NDPM, MOG Entertainment Koncept, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori Suenu(representing Ethiope East and West in the House of Representatives) and some other notable Niger Delta personalities.
