NIDSUG praises FG, REA over solar plant projects in Niger Delta schools

Comrade Scott Ogunseri, National President, Niger Students Union Government (NIDSUG) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the solar power plant projects implemented by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) in various schools across the Niger Delta region and beyond.

In his statement on Thursday, Ogunseri appreciated “the efforts of the MD Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Hon. Abba Abubakar Aliyu, for the tireless work in bringing electricity to our schools and communities by his team.

“The solar power plants installed in several campuses have brought joy and hope to our students, enabling them to study and work in a conducive environment.”

He urge the Federal Government “to extend this initiative to more schools in the Niger Delta region that are yet to receive solar panels.”

He also called “on other stakeholders to support this noble effort in ensuring that our schools and communities have access to reliable and sustainable energy.”

Ogunseri also congratulated the students and staff of the beneficiary schools and assured them of continued support and advocacy for the development of the Niger Delta region.
