Labour Party (LP) has charged the National Security Adviser(NSA) to “immediately arrest Obi Ezekwisili and Aisha Yesufu for treasonable felony as they haveĀ also at different times declared on a National Television that Nigeria has no legitimate President – a comedian – idea sold to them by Peter Obi and his Igbo dominated legal teams led by Dr. Livy Uzoukwu(SAN) that a mandate ‘void ab initio’ that was never in existence was stolen.”

The charge is coming from Comrade Abayomi Arabambi, the National Publicity Secretary of the Lamidi Apapa led faction of the LP against the backdrop of Ezekwisili’s and Yesufu’s refusal to “stand and sing when the anthem is played.”

According to Arabambi, “it’s now very clear that this duo of political terrorists and constitutional irritants appear to now demonically, satanically and irrevocably committed to their ungodly, aggressive, frightful attack on the government of Nigeria by undermining our constitution since the declaration by INEC and subsequent swearing-in of Bola Tinubu as President of Nigeria whose election was also constitutionally affirmed by the Supreme Court.

“It’s therefore pertinent at this juncture to remind those haters of our democracy that such actions are considered as an affront against the National Assembly, the Nigerian state and can incur serious legal consequences including death.

“The Nigerian National Anthem Act stipulates that failure to stand during the rendition of the anthem is an offense punishable by imprisonment, fine and or both fine and imprisonments.”

Going further, Arabambi, averred that their actions contravene section 37 of the Criminal Code Act which among others states that “any person who levies war against the State, in order to intimidate or overawe the President or the Governor of a State, is guilty of treason, and is liable to the punishment of death; any person conspiring with any person, either within or without Nigeria, to levy war against the State with intent to cause such levying of war as would be treason if committed by a citizen of Nigeria, is guilty of treason and is liable to the punishment of death” adding “Obi Ezekwisili and Aisha Yesufu are therefore guilty of treason by their refusal to recognize or stand up during the rendition of Nigeria National Anthem.

“Their criminal actions is also a conclusion of their convictions to continue to insult and conduct themselves in acts capable of causing breach of peace laced with their embedded audacity, fury, daring, rage and devilish resolve to always denigrate the constitution of Nigeria and planned violent overthrown of the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces.”
