Scott Uyiosasere Ogunseri, the newly elected President of the Niger Delta Students Union Government(NIDSUG), has promised to bring a positive change in the affairs of the students body and indeed the students.

The entertainer cum undergraduate of the Department of Computer Science of the University of Benin (Uniben) stated that the prosperity and capacity building for students in Niger Delta region is uppermost in his thoughts.

Ogunseri who is better known as DJ MOG in the entertainment world, said he has all it takes to achieve his dream of taking the affairs of the NIDSUG to the pinnacle with his experience in entertainment where he for years solely organised a free show for children tagged Children Funfair with DJ MOG, the biggest of its kind in Edo State.

On his emergence as the President of NIDSUG, Ogunseri said: “First I would say it started with my dream and aspiration to contest for the office which took me on a journey to the different states in the Niger Delta region meeting leaders and students, and after several consultations, approval and go ahead from different leaders across the region I keyed in fully with intensive campaigns and outreach, selling myself & manifesto to everyone in the entire region in a bid to secure a unity ticket.”

According to him, “I am the unwaivering voice of Niger Delta students. I have the intention of giving them a selfless service in a united NIDSUG. My weapon is credibility, innovations and empowerment. I also plan constitution review.”

Going further, he said: “This office is just the beginning of my political career and my dream is to make myself available to serve my state and country after school.”

He described the students loan programme of President Bola Tinubu as a good deal meant to “aid everyone through school, (that is the poor homes in rural areas.) I would say it’s a good initiative and I want to use this medium to thank President Tinubu for coming up with it.”
