What mass defection of PDP members to APC in Delta portends – IYC President Emeritus

Ex-Niger Delta Agitators preach peace, suspends planned protest

Immediate Past National Publicity Secretary, Presidential Amnesty Programme(PAP) Phase 3, ‘General’ Whoknows Tomorrow, has called on ljaw leaders and stakeholders of the Niger Delta region to intervene in the unending and unwarranted threats to his life by the Amnesty Office.

In an official statement, the ex-agitator noted that his life has been continually threatened for demanding reinstatement of his name and other beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme who were delisted by the current lnterim Administrator of PAP, General Barry Ndiomu (rtd).

In what he titled “MY LIFE IS UNDER THREAT!! ELDERS OF IJAW NATION SHOULD COME TO MY RESCUE!!” the ex-agitator stated how he escaped death after a staff of the Amnesty Office called to deal with him and the Chairman of Niger Delta Amnesty Delegates Network(NDADN), Mr. Alfred Boyed, for planning another protest, threatening also that the amnesty office was going to withdraw his sponsorship.

“Recall that the Interim Administrator of the Presidential amnesty Programme (PAP), Maj. Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu (rtd), had in October 2022, delisted my name and other ex-agitators (about 3,000) and suspended our monthly stipends till date. Even though we’ve engaged series of protests as a way of expressing our grievances over the suspension of our stipends, it is sad however that no meaningful result have been achieved.

“We further resolved to embark on a massive “NDIOMU MUST GO” protest, a plan which was kept aside upon the intervention of some respected elders and fathers of the region urging us to resort peace talks than violence, as youths who are well trained to respect royal fathers, we decided to honour the call for peace/dialogue.

“Despite having swam the ocean of frustration, pain and untold hardship occasioned by the stoppage of my monthly stipend, basking in the realm of positivity and self encouragement, yet the ever glaring issues of life won’t allow me be.

“It came as a shocking surprise when I received a call from one ‘Major, Akpor Marshall from the Presidential Amnesty Office (precisely) last week Friday threatening to deal with me and one MR. Alfred Boyed who happens to be the Chairman of Niger Delta Amnesty Delegates Network(NDADN) for planning another protest and publications against Ndiomu, he (Major Akpor Marshall) further threatened that the Amnesty Office was going to withdraw my sponsorship (same way they suspended one Patrick M. Ipidei and Papems scholarship).

“Also, on Thursday (27th July, 2023), I noticed some suspicious movement around me while I was returning from my farm. But through the grace of God and some applied intelligence, I was able to escape and about 3 hours later, I got a call from a friend that he saw a post that says I was shot dead earlier that same day.”

Revealing how he has to abandon his home for safety, ‘General’ Whoknows Tomorrow called on leaders of the region, notifying them of the perpetual threats given him by the Amnesty Office.

“In the light of these life hunting experiences, it therefore becomes necessary to quickly alert and notify the general public of the unending and unwarranted threats to my life, I am forced to abandon my home for safety.

“I don’t know those that want me dead. But, let it be on record that ‘Major’ Akpor Marshall threatened to deal with me and Alfred Boyed. It is further instructive to humbly bring to the notice of our Esteemed Elders and Ijaw fathers, to wit: Chief Pa. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark; Professor Benjamin Okaba- INC President; Amb.Dr Godknows Boladei Igali; Senator Friday Konbowei Benson; HRM, King Michael Ateke Tom; Alhaji Mujahid Asari Dokubo; Chief General Pastor Reuben Wilson; Honourable Felix Tuodolo; Comrade Alagoa A. Morris and Jonathan Lokpobiri-IYC President to know that my life is no longer safe just because I am demanding what rightfully belongs to me and other delegates of the Presidential Amnesty Programme,” he added.
