According to the Executive Chairman of the Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina, not less than 100 people will be empowered on the day of the event. Hon. He noted that the Jinja Herbal Extract empowerment and summit would be staged in a special way to give the lucky beneficiaries a good take off plan for the New Year 2025.

“All arrangements have been concluded and we are just waiting for the festivities to be over. The plan is for 100 beneficiaries and we have a committee working on the modalities to pick them,” he said.

The event is billed for O’Clean Events Place in Ikorodu on Saturday, January 11 with Hon. Alex Obanla, Liaison Officer to Ogun State Government on Local Government Matters as Guest Speaker while Supervisor for Health, Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Morenike Osokoya, is special Guest. The Chairman of the Summit, Barrister Biyi Otegbeye, stressed that the empowerment will make the beneficiaries financially stable.

“We will give them the Jinja products and after selling it and getting the money back, we will register them and then they move on from there because there will also be support from local government chairmen to boost the empowerment initiative,” Otegbeye said.
