Baring all unforeseen circumstances the Urhokpota Hall in Benin Citybwill be playing host to the grand reception to welcome the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sherrif Blessing Agbebaku, from the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) to the All Progressives Congress(APC).
Popular News learnt that the Owan born politician had for long been on the queue to join the ruling party but was been held back because of some issues that bothered on the need to properly dot the ‘i’s and cross the ‘t’s.
“Now, that the needful has been done Speaker Agbebaku has deemed it necessary to take the bold step and join his political bed fellows in the ruling party,” a source close to him divulged.
There are speculations that he is not moving alone as he is likely to be joined in today’s defection process by a lawmaker from the Edo Central axis who is also moving to the APC to give full backing to the governance policies of Governor Monday Okpebholo.
