Comrade Patrick Ebojele, the National Convener of N’Edo Gheria, a socio-political group, has charged beneficiaries of the recent interest free ₦1 billion traders loan provided by the Edo State Government to see the gesture “as an economic empowerment aimed at lifting the economics of the state.”
According to Comrade Ebojele, “this singular action of the government is expected to improve small scale businesses and other house hold trades.
“What the governor has demonstrated is the basis for seeking a political office, where your words should be your bond. The economic implications are that more money is injected into their business and thereby creating more wealth and confidence boosting.”
He enjoined the beneficiaries “to invest the money properly into their business concerns so as to spur the ‘Promise Keeper’ to do more.”
Governor Monday Okpebholo announced the initiation of the programme at a well attended public function inside the state Government House on Friday morning.
