Rights activist and President of the One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, has taken a dig on politicians whom he accused of feeding fat on the resources of the country while contributing next to nothing to her economic advancement.

He charged the youths to wake up from their slumber and challenge those he described as political bandits who have occupied the National Assembly(NASS) after looting the treasury of their different states even as they still collect emoluments, retirement benefits and salaries after leaving their previous offices.

“Why are you receiving pensions and you are in the National Assembly (NASS)? Are you going to be having double pension?

“Do you know the meaning of retirement benefits or pension? What it means is that what you contributed when you were working or while you were in office that is what they will calculate some percentage and start paying you,” he enthused.

He gave kudos to the former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and the former President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki for rejecting the retirement benefits and even going forward to refund such money to their state treasury.

Addressing the youths, he stated that they should be watchful as the majority of those that are now in the National Assembly have no good records and as such cannot be trusted to make laws that will positively affect the lives of the populace.

“Most of these dubious characters are now in the National Assembly purportedly to serve the people but they are stealing the treasury blind. They must be humiliated because that is the only language they understand.”
