Dr. Osahon Enabulele, the Immediate Past President of the World Medical Association (WMA) has stated that “the outgone year, 2023, was undoubtedly a very challenging one locally, nationally and globally, with resultant widening of inequalities and inequities, and with Edo, the state of my birth, and Nigeria, my country, having their fair share of these challenges.”
He made the statement in his new year message entitled ‘Welcome To The Year. ‘
Going further, he challenged that “as we begin a new year, we would all have to work hard to address these increasing socio-economic and political challenges confronting citizens at local, state, national and global levels.
“In line with the foregoing, I wish to express my firm commitment to make further contributions to the advancement of exemplary leadership, good governance, and our common humanity.
“I wish every citizen of Edo, Nigeria, Africa, and the entire world, a much more fulfilling and prosperous 2024.”
