Following an advertorial published in national newspaper of Saturday, September 17th, 2022, where the Edo State Government declared no fewer than fifty persons as land grabbers, the elders and youths of one of the communities listed, Uselu N’Ahor Community, have appealed to the state government that nothing like such happens in the community, decrying the publication.

Speaking recently the elders and youths of the community who trooped out in their numbers said that the youths mentioned in the publication, Mr. Michael Enotiemwonmwan(aka Akpan), Nosa Omoregie and Friday Omoregie and other youths in the community are trying their best to ensure the community is developed.

“The youths are the ones getting the roads maintained. They are the ones ensuring the electricity functions well. They are not land grabbers.

“We have lands reserved for primary and secondary schools, we have land reserved for hospital, there’s the Iyoba land, the land earmarked for public market are all here. No one has tampered them. If the government wants to build a stadium here, we have land for them.

“We the people of Uselu N’Ahor condemn the declaration of our youths as land grabbers. There is nothing of such here in our community. No developer is disturbed. No multiple sales of one land at a time. The lands sold are usually with community seal.

“We are pleading to the government that there is no land grabbing activity in our community,” they said.
