Information reaching Popular News is that there are some complaints about the way and manner the authorities of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital [UBTH] have been handling the issue of filling vacancies for positions in the Pharmacy Department.
The gist is that the UBTH management some weeks ago advertised some vacancies one of which is for INTERNSHIP FOR PHARMACISTS.
“Two of the documents to be added to the application form are statement of result and practicing license which graduates of Pharmacy can only get after the school’s induction ceremony.
“The University of Benin has not done induction ceremony for its graduates of Pharmacy and the statement of result has not been given to them too.
“The deadline for the submission of application forms for the internship position for pharmacy graduates is today . Today is the deadline.
“All Uniben Pharmacy graduates who made attempts to submit their application forms were denied submission. Their applications were not received from them because the licence has not been given to them.
“The induction that will produce the licenses for UNIBEN Pharmacy graduates has been scheduled for 14th of this month,” a credible source divulged.
