Chief Francis Inegbeniki, the erstwhile Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, has revealed that his action of resigning from the party over the weekend has generated lots of reaction as his phone has been inundated with calls from far and wide, adding “only President Bola Tinubu has not called me.”

In Chief Inegbeniki’s letter of resignation which he addressed to the Chairman of the APC in Ward 9, Opoji, Esan Local Government Area of Edo State, he had said that he took the decision “after due consultations with my family, friends and political associates.”

Going further, he stated: “I thank all my teeming supporters and followers for their support and loyalty, despite the challenges. Now it is time to chart a new course for the good of all.”

In conclusion, he stressed: “I believe in the future of Nigeria. I believe in the renewed hope agenda. Together, we shall continue to work for the progress of our dear state, Edo and the country at large.”

He refused to make any declaration on his next move promising that the whole issue will come to the open in due course as he is not the only one that’s involved in the action which he described as a tsunami.
