In a notable development, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has received substantial support from two prominent figures within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). 

The APC New Media Campaign Committee has recognized and praised the significant contributions from former Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu and former House of Representatives member Hon. Ogbeide-Ihama to the APC’s Okpebholo/DENCO Campaign Organization.

Philip Shaibu has donated over 50 Sienna vehicles, music trucks, and a well-furnished secretariat office. These contributions are expected to significantly enhance the APC campaign’s operational capacity. In addition, Hon. Ogbeide-Ihama has provided a fully equipped campaign office building located at No. 1, Sokponba Road, in the heart of Ring Road (King Square), Benin City. This strategic location will serve as a vital hub for coordinating campaign activities and engaging with the electorate.

According to Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah, Director of the APC New Media Campaign Committee, these donations are set to have a major impact on the political landscape in Edo State. 

“The involvement of such high-profile leaders from the PDP, each with a substantial following, signals a significant realignment. Their support for the APC is likely to galvanize other PDP members to reconsider their positions, potentially leading to increased support for our party,” Omo-Ikirodah stated.

The APC plans to leverage these new resources to amplify its grassroots mobilization and outreach efforts. The vehicles and music trucks will facilitate extensive voter engagement across the region, while the secretariat and campaign office will serve as pivotal centers for organizing the campaign strategy.

“This development marks a pivotal moment in Edo politics, reflecting the growing momentum behind the APC and its agenda for progress and development. As the PDP grapples with these significant contributions to the APC, we are solidifying our position and building unprecedented momentum,” added Omo-Ikirodah.

The APC New Media Campaign Committee expressed confidence that the support from Philip Shaibu and Hon. Ogbeide-Ihama signifies a new dawn for Edo State.
