Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has resigned from his position, effective immediately.

While he cited health challenges as his major reason for resigning from office and thus he needed to focus on his well being. 

Those in the know counter his assertion insisting that his resignation is caused by an aggregate of controversies that surround him. 

One of the reasons that is flying around that allegedly caused his sudden departure is the high monetary demand he is aacused of making from those seeking elective positions. 

In the twilight of his days as Governor of Kano State between 2015 and 2023, he was accused of corrupt practices a fallout of tons of foreign currencies exchanging hands between him and his accusers. 

He assumed office as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in August 2023.

Nothing has been heard from the APC about the latest development which is coming barely two months to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) proposed date for the conduct of bye elections into some vacant seats in the National Assembly.
