It was yet another well-deserved honour for the Leader, House of Representatives, Professor Julius Omozuanvbo Ihonvbere as he was conferred with the award of Exemplary Leadership, Selfless Service, and Inclusiveness.
The award which was bestowed on the Iseghede of Owanland this Saturday, 14th February, was presented under the auspices of the UnMute Conference/Awards 2026 and the New Focus for Development Initiative & Grace Graham Project.
Prof. Ihonvbere, who was the keynote speaker at the confab, did not leave anyone guessing as to why he is a top-rated Nigerian professor of international standing when he dissected the topic relating to the systemic inequalities and injustices that exist in practically every stratum of the Nigerian society which he preferred to call “a holistic battle that needs the attention of all and sundry to address frontally.”
Highpoints of the event was the public presentation of the Book titled Sustained By Grace written by Grace Graham and conferment of awards to some deserving individuals.
Other special guests at the conference included the founding Executive Director of African Centre For Leadership, Strategy and Development, Dr. Otive Igbuzor; former Deputy Governor of Plateau State and erstwhile Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen; Chairman, Senate Committee on Women Affairs, Senator Ireti Kingibe, among several others.
