The Immaculate Conception College Old Boys Association Benin Branch (ICCOBA Benin) is set to host her 2023 end of year activities/luncheon/merit award ceremony.
At a press briefing by the Organizing Committee, the Chairman, Dr. Lawani Ambrose Onivefu, indicated that the 3-day event will commence with a Novelty Football Match between ICCOBA Benin FC and ITV Benin Football FC on Friday, 8th December, 2023 at 4:00 pm at the Immaculate Conception College (ICC) Benin football pitch.
A free medical outreach shall also be conducted at the ICC Football field same day while the novelty football match is ongoing.
ICCOBA Benin Branch, under the leadership of Dr. Vincent Osayande, has invited Professor Hassan Ebhozele Oaikhenan of the Department of Economics, University of Benin, Benin City to deliver the Luncheon Lecture on “Repositioning the Nigeria Economy for competitiveness: The Role of the Government and the Citizens” on Saturday, 9th December 2023 at 12 noon at the ICCOBA House, 28 Ola Okeaya-Inneh Street, Off 19th Street, BDPA, Ugbowo, Benin City.
The Royal Father of the day, the Chairman of the Luncheon and the Special Guest of honour shall be HRH Enogie Festus Ogiefo Iduozee (Enogie of Evboesi), Professor Austin Obasohan (Past Chief Medical Director – UBTH) and Engr. Ighodalo Edetanlen (ICCOBA President Worldwide) respectively.
Some students of Immaculate Conception College Benin, who excelled in academics shall be given awards during the Luncheon.
In addition, members of the ICCOBA Benin Branch FC shall be honoured for their meritorious service to the growth and development of the ICCOBA Branch FC.
The Luncheon shall also feature American auction sale, drama skit and couple competition (How well do you know your spouse).
The 2023 end of year activities/Luncheon of ICCOBA Benin Branch will climax with a Thanksgiving Mass at 9:00am at the St Paul Minor Seminary Chapel, Airport Road, Benin City, on Sunday, 10th December 2023.
