It was a festival of goals today at the Prince Abubakar Audu University Sports Complex, Anyigba in Kogi State, as NWFL premiership Champions Edo Queens FC of Benin spanked Kada Queens FC of Kaduna 12-0 in the ongoing President Federation Cup Round of 32 for women.

The Edo ladies came into the pitch with an air of confidence, superiority knowing fully well that Kada Queens will  pose no problem. The presence of the ‘Yellow upon Yellow’ jersey girls was the beginning of wisdom for the Kaduna Ladies.

Mafisere Kafayat, open scoring for Edo Queens in 2 minute of action. Her goal paved ways for others like Esther Inyang, Amarachukwu Onuorah, Goodness Osigwue, Chioma Moses, all having  their names registered on the score sheet.

The first half ended in favour of Edo Queens with a total of 9 goals to their credit. The game was more like a training match for the Moses Aduku girls. The Benin ladies were just too sophisticated for the Kaduna ladies to handle.

At the resumption of the second half, Kada Queens brought in some fresh legs to add bit to the game, but there was no result to show for it as Edo Queens continued to rain in goals upon goals. It was actually a devastating encounter for Kada Queens.

The Coach Moses Aduku tutored ladies took total dominance of the game from the blast of the whistle to the end of proceedings. Edo Queens superiority over  their opponent was overwhelming throughout the 90 minutes encounter. The Queens from the ancient City were highly applauded by the fans following their good display of football skills.

With this impressive result, Edo Queens have secured the ticket to the round of 16 of the competition. They begin preparations for next week’s epic clash against Remo Stars Ladies of Ikenne in Ogun State in the NWFL Match Day 11, as the campaign to the Super 6 hots up.
