Gwoza Elite Forum have sent a SOS to the Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, to come to the aid of indigenes of the state who are in the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Camp in Uhogua, Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State.

Making the call through its President, Ibrahim Emmanuel Mbitsa, during a visit to the camp by its leadership the forum said that “we want to call on the Executive Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, we know he means well for the state.

“We heard that the Pastor(Solomon Folorunsho) submitted a letter to the state government in respect of some indigenes of Borno State so that the government of the state can come to their aid.

“We don’t know if the letter got to the governor but we know that he has a heart for people that undergo these kind of issues. You see him in Cameroun, Niger, Chad in various IDPs Camps.

“We call on our Executive Governor, Zulum, to please try to attend to these our own people. They’re your own indigenes, Sir.”

In his submission, Pastor Solomon Folorunsho, the General Overseer of the International Christian Church which is the progenitor of the Home for the Needy Foundation which operates the IDPs Camp, thanked the group for their visit and appealed for support for the activities of the camp in areas like feeding, clothing, education and medication among many others.

He gave kudos to the caregivers in the facility for their unalloyed support and dedication to the task that they’re assigned to do. He disclosed that whatever is the achievements attained by the Home for the Needy Foundation is a collective effort of all and sundry.
