The Chairman of Edo State Sports Commission(ESSC), Desmond Enabulele, has commended the players of Edo Queens for their two goals to nil victory over Naija Ratels in their Super Six match up in Ikenne, Ogun State.
He charged them to keep the winning mentality on, adding that beating Bayelsa Queens and Nasarawa Amazons in the last two matches will position them to winning the trophy back -to – back. He also pledged more support and incentives for the team.
Emem Essien put the Edo Queens on sound footing with the win over Naija Ratels in their third game of the Super Six Championship Campaign.
Emem, who has grown into a reliable presence in the club, contributed energy and composure in the attack and netted the two goals to give the defending champions their first win of the Super Six Campaign. The first goal came in 26th minute of action while she recorded the second in the 37th minute just before the half hour break.
There is no doubt that their win over Naija Ratels has boost up the Edo Queens girls’ morale for the titanic clash against Bayelsa Queens and Nasarawa Amazons coming up on Thursday May, 15th and Friday, 16th respectively.
