As preparations intensify for Nigeria’s upcoming international friendly double-header against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Desmond Enabulele, has congratulated four Edo Queens players on their maiden call-up to the senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons.
In a statement issued through his Media Officer, Edoko Wilson Edoko, Enabulele commended the dedication and exceptional performances of Miracle Useni, Amarachi Udoka, Emem Essien, and goalkeeper Ademola Morufa, which earned them this prestigious national recognition.
“You have all displayed outstanding talent while representing Edo Queens FC. Your hard work and commitment in every match must now be replicated at the Super Falcons level,” he stated.
“This call-up is a well-deserved reward for your perseverance, consistency, and top form. Make the most of this opportunity and make Edo Queens proud,” Enabulele added.
As of Wednesday afternoon, all invited Super Falcons players have arrived at the team’s camp at Am2pm Hotel in Ijebu-Ode, ahead of the two friendly matches scheduled for May 31 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo and June 3 at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta.
