Fred Newton Erhunmwunse, Chairman of the Edo State Football Association, has asserted that the calibre of the members of the newly constituted Board of the Edo State Sports Commission will bring about rapid development in the sports sector, in the state.
He made the assertion on Thursday while felicitating with the members of the newly constituted Board of the Edo State Sports Commission led by the Chairman, Mr. Desmond Enabulele.
He stated: “It is our sincere hope and believe that you all will bring your experiences to bear in this new task and take Edo State back to its number one place in Nigeria Sports.
“On our part as the apex football body in the state, we shall work closely with the sports commision as usual for the benefit of the game in the state.”
Going further, Erhunmwunse stressed: “We are very confident that these highly respected administrators, no doubt will bring about rapid development in the sports sector, in Edo State.
“We shall appreciate the quick confirmation of the Board by the Edo State House of Assembly, to enable the commission begin preparation of the state athletes ahead of the 22nd National Sports Festival in Ogun State early next year.”
Other members of the Edo State Sports Commission Board are Mrs. Sabina Chikere, Director; Barrister Anthony Ikuenobe, member representing Edo Central; Frank Ilaboya, member representing Edo North and Mr. Baldwin Bazuaye, member representing Edo Edo South.
