Edo Queens coach not adding value to the aspirations of the team

Wemimo Mathew, coach of Edo Queens FC of Benin, is one of a type. Before she assumed office in Edo Queens she was the coach of Sunshine Queens FC of Akure.

In looks Wemimo is a knockout but what she has in admirable looks she lacks in mannerism as she exudes a pungent odour of ill mannerism wherever she finds herself.

She was the major reason that the Edo Queens lost Sebastian Flourish Chioma to a rival NWFL team. In the course of seeking for a settlement to the young female soccer star’s absenteeism from the Edo Queens squad, Wemimo is said to have openly cast aspersions on the teenager and her parents describing them in unprintable words.

Wemimo, who has yet to spend a year as coach of the Edo Queens, has been instrumental in sending some of the quality players packing for flimsy reasons. She is known to openly show disdain for some of her players on the pitch.

What is of concern to many is that of what value is Wemimo to the high yearning of the Edo State Government to support the Queens as they march forward to outshine others in women football this term after series of failed attempts.

If she is that good why has she been demoted from the coaching crew of the senior national female football team, the Falcons, to the under-20 team?

She had better learn how not to treat with aloofness those she is supposed to work with for the Edo Queens to achieve the much desired success.

The Edo State Government cannot be spending sleepless nights trying to fashion a system that will bring success to the Edo Queens while the person at the head of the coaching crew is turning the hands of the clock backwards with her ill mannered style of operation.
