The Edo State Police Command has joined the flurry of sympathisers condoling with the state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ) on the demise of Mr. Austin Adibe Emenyonu, the state correspondent of ThisDay Newspaper, which sad event occurred on Friday, 17th October, 2025.
In his short but concise condolence letter on behalf of the officers and men of the Command, which was addressed to the Council’s Chairman, Dr. Festus Alenkhe, CP Monday Agbonika, urged the Union “to consider his death as a transition to eternal glory,” praying “that God by His infinite mercy will comfort you and grant his entire family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.”
It would be recalled that Mr. Emenyonu, who for many years served as the Correspondent of ThisDay Newspaper, suddenly departed on the evening of Friday, 17th October, 2025.
