Leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State has pledged total support for the second tenure of Governor Godwin Obaseki to enable the party to fulfill electioneering promises to the people of the state.

Making this known to journalists at a press conference today, the  PDP State Chairman, Tony Azeigbemi, said the issue of constant insecurity in Edo State is giving Governor Obaseki sleepless nights.

Azeigbemi said, “the first thing our governor, Godwin Obaseki think about when, he wakes up in the morning is how to secure the lives and properties of Edolites. It is the last thing he thinks about as he goes to sleep at night.

“The #ENDSARS protest which the government and the PDP supported from the beginning was now hijacked by hoodlums and Edo Peoples Movement (EPM) members, which led to the jail break in our two correctional centres. About 2,000 inmates escaped.”

Azeigbemi appealed to all Edo citizens to continue to support PDP regime, led by Governor Godwin Obaseki and denied that the governor is trying to dissolve the PDP state exco structure.

Commenting on the new reformation of the civil service in the state, the PDP boss said, “the reforms in the civil service is ongoing. And mind buggling facts are coming out. The civil service will become a model in the country once we’re done with the reformation programme.”
