The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Edo State Council, has sent a message of congratulation to the Governor of the state, Senator Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy, Hon. Dennis Idahosa on reaching the significant milestone of first 100 days in office as Governor and Deputy.
In a joint statement by its Chairman, Dr. Festus Alenkhe and the Secretary, Comrade Andy Egbon the Council said “the Governor’s commitment to good governance and transparent leadership has already started yielding positive results for Edo State.”
The Council said that the achievements recorded within this short period is a testament to the Governor ‘s visionary approach and dedication to the welfare of Edolites.
“Under the leadership of Edo State Governor, we have observed notable advancements in various sectors, including health, economy and infrastructural development, education, and public service, among others.
“The initiatives have not only addressed critical challenges, but also paved the way for future progress and innovation in Edo State,” the Council stated.
The Council acknowledged the Governor’s efforts in promoting a culture of openness and accountability, which reinforces the foundations of a thriving democracy.
“As Mr. Governor continue on this path of transformative leadership, the NUJ leadership in Edo State remains committed to supporting the vision of the state government for a better Edo State.
“The Edo NUJ however promised further collaboration with the state government in advancing journalistic freedom and continuous reportage of all government policies, projects, programmes and activities,” the Council submitted.
