Edo loses fourth journalist in less than three months

Early morning hours of Saturday, March 27th, 2021, reporters in Edo State rose from their beds to hear the sad news of the passage of one of our colleagues, Ezekiel Isesele, the correspondent of Champion Newspaper in Edo State.

The sad news which crept into the rumour mills in a mixture of confusion and disbelief was subsequently confirmed with a visit to Itua Medical Center situated in Agho Street, off Ekenwan Road, Benin City, where the hardworking and amiable penpusher’s body laid prostrate as he took a final bow to the great beyond.

The graduate of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, hailed from Ewu, a community in Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State, and is survived by a dutiful wife, Francisca, and three children.

His demise is making him the fourth journalist, including veterans, to die in quick succession in Edo State this year – namely Sunny Ojeiduma(City People), Tony Momoh(Veteran), Alhaji Abuda(Veteran) and Ezekiel Isesele (Champion Newspaper).

May his gentle soul rest in the bosom of his creator.
