Edo Guber: APC group passes vote of confidence on Uzodinma

A group under the aegis of the  All Progressives Congress (APC) Renewed Hope Coalition, Edo State Chapter, yesterday, passed a vote of confidence on the Chairman of the party’s governorship electoral committee, Governor Hope Uzodinmma,  of Imo State for the peaceful conduct of the primaries.

The convener of the group, Stevens Jim, described Uzodinma as the face of new democracy for his ability to ensure a transparent, free and fair primaries in the state.

“At this point, we will like to commend Governor Hope Uzodinma for his

exemplary leadership and commitment to deepening democracy in Nigeria because under his watch, the just concluded APC primaries in Edo State stand as a shining example of transparency, fairness, and integrity in the electoral process.

“Governor Uzodinma and his team’s dedication to upholding the principles of democracy has ensured that every eligible member of the party had an equal opportunity to participate and have their voices heard.

“In a time where the credibility of electoral processes is often called into question, the electoral committee headed by Governor Hope Uzodinma has set a new standard for conducting primaries by prioritizing transparency and inclusivity.

“The smooth and orderly conduct of the primaries across the 18 local government areas of the state is a testament to APC’s unwavering commitment to upholding the democratic ideals upon which our nation was founded. 

“We unequivocally pass a vote of confidence on the Governor Uzodinma led electoral committee for conducting a free, fair and credible primaries,” the group said.

The group added that the emergence of Dennis ldahosa as the winner of the APC primaries in Edo State is a testament to APC’s commitment to promoting excellence and competence in governance.

The group maintained that the party, once again, has demonstrated its dedication to selecting candidates based on their qualifications, vision and ability to serve the people

effectively and as well as putting the choice of the people first.

The group added that now that the primaries are over and a winner has emerged, it now behooves on all the aspirants to rally round Idahosa to enable him win the governorship election.

 “It is worthy to note that APC is one in Edo State and there’s no division, and that, now that a candidate has emerged, it is important for them all to rally round the winner and ensure the victory of APC in the September 21 governorship election in the state.

“It is a known fact that Edo State is APC and APC is Edo State. We will do all it takes to take back our state from the vampires who are holding down our state. 

“And in order to achieve this, we must speak with one voice and support our governorship candidate in person of Hon. Dennis ldahosa whose qualifications and track records speak volume. 

“We appeal to all contestants to close ranks and support Hon. Dennis Idahosa in his quest to take Edo State to a greater height,” the group said.
