There is a saying that after rain comes sun shine. This proverb perfectly fit into situation Inikorogha find itself in the last 13 years where a group of misguided youths led by Robert Okubo held the community in total bondage and captivity.
He became the Alpha and Omega, controlling everything that comes and go out of the community, be it fund, revenue, government appointment, project e.t.c. We know that some people may ask that why waiting this long but the question we will equally want you out there to answer is that what can we do in a situation of a one man having terror instrument in his possession.
All the same, we thank God that resilience spirit of an average Ijaw person helped our people to endure and survive these years of holocaust.
Though Robert Okubo and his boys tried all the tricks in their disposal in making sure that the lnauguration does not hold but thanks to Almighty God, Governor Godwin Obaseki and security agents who provided the enabling environment for the event to take place successfully.
The community also use this opportunity to thank some of our sons and daughters like Hon. Godstime Ogidigba, Comrade Ezekiel Daniel, Hon. Suny Kiriyal, Madam Victoria Potoki, Tikima Arigba, who went extra mile in raising funds and other logistics. May God replenish your pockets.
The thank you will not be complete if we fail to appreciate the titanic roles various media bodies played in bringing to the attention of the public the pathetic situation of Inikorogha people.
In rounding up, we are still calling on the Federal and state government to do more in focusing more security light on Inikorogha Community, especially to station a military base in the community to permanently put a stop to gangsterism and other terror acts becasue those that just lost power are threatening thunder and fire.
