Edo Central Senatorial candidate gives Super Falcons thumbs up for lifting WAFCON 2024 trophy

Comrade Paul Omo Okojie, the Labour Party (LP) standard bearer in the Edo Central Senatorial District bye-election slated for Saturday, August 16th, has commended the national female football team, the Super Falcons, for their resilience in winning the 2024 WAFCON. He asserted that by the feat the ladies have exhibited the can-do spirit that Nigerians are known for.

“My congratulations goes to the Nigeria female national team, the Super Falcons, for their accomplishment in winning the 2024 WAFCON trophy despite all the odds stacked against them by their opponents in the final.

He reemphasised that his vision for his constituents is to make the difference counts in their lives by ensuring that they have all that are necessary for growth and also the wherewithal to become wealth creators by initiating programmes that will lift them beyond the ordinary. 

Comrade Okojie stated that over the years he has watched as those the people hold in trust to better their situation have ended up betraying the trust.

“I am presenting myself to my constituents to be elected so as to address this act of betrayal with quality representation. My emergence will ensure that my people’s cry of neglect for years will be finally addressed. 

“In years gone by Journalists and related professionals entrusted with positions have not disappointed in delivering the needed dividends. I will surely build on that legacy. 

“Some prominent nationalists on this list in recent memory are late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe(former President of Nigeria); late Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande(the first civilian governor of Lagos State); late Chief Bisi Onabanjo(former governor of Ogun State) and Chief Olusegun Osoba(former governor of Ogun State).”
