Youths of the Labour Party(LP) in Edo State have picked Kenneth Imansuangbon as their preferred candidate for next year’s governorship election.
The LP youths said they believe Imansuangbon would defeat any candidate presented by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
Spokesman for the LP youths, Comrade Roland Asemota, spoke in Benin City during a ‘House to House Visit’ to create awareness on the candidacy of Imansuangbon.
Asemota said the PDP and the APC have failed both the state and the country at large. He said Imansuangbon’s developmental plan would bring prosperity to the people.
The LP youths leader said he has read Imansuangbon’s manifesto and was convinced it would take Edo out of the wood if implemented.
According to him, “Our mission is to ensure the emergence of Imansuangbon as our party’s candidate. That is what we are committed to do.
“We are educating Labour Party members of why they should support and nominate The Rice Man. There is no one that has experience as Imansuangbon.
“Edo State needs a man that has the requisite knowledge of development. Imansuangbon has never taken government contract, he has been giving and helping the poor. Edo State needs him.”
