A cross section of youths in Edo State have endorsed Osarodion Ogie Esq as the best choice for the position of deputy governor of Edo State in the forthcoming gubernatorial poll in the state. He got the endorsement for his steadfast commitment towards the course of the young especially the downtrodden.
The youths said Ogie, who is the Secretary to Edo State Government(SSG) has the capacity to take many youths off the streets and empower many women who do not have source of livelihoods.
Youth leader and grassroot mobiliser, Comrade Solomon Okoduwa, said this in a statement he issued on today in Benin City. Okoduwa, a former Senior Special Assistant(SSA) to Governor Godwin Obaseki on human trafficking issues, said many youths decided to support the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) deputy governorship candidate following his passion for the grassroot people.
“Ogie’s fatherly disposition cut across board. He is the face of the election and he is going to gain overwhelming support of millions of people from the three senatorial districts. He is a man both the youths and elderly can depend on, rely on and trust. He is worthy of our hundred percent support.
“All the returned migrants in Edo State can attest to the numerous support of Osarodion Ogie; he cares, he listens and supports no matter how little it is.”
The youth leader, also a human rights activist admonished all voting public, especially the youth, to wisely cast their ballot for the PDP in their own interest.
He continued, “I want to call on all and sundry to rally round the man whose life has inspired many. The man whose antecedents is more than enough to win the state for his party.
“In my trying time in the Edo State Government House, Ogie stood by me. He encouraged me and motivated me as a father. He believes in me and drew me closer. I will not forgive myself if I fail to support, mobilise and galvanise support for his aspirations. He is more than a leader to me. He is a father and a mentor.”
