Edo 2024: Imasuen cleared to contest

Lucky Imasuen, has scaled through the All Progressives Congress (APC) screening process to qualify to contest the party’s Edo State governorship primaries slated for Saturday, February 17th.

In the course of the screening process which was held at the party headquarters in Abuja between the 8th and 9th February, Imasuen, a former deputy governor of the state, was adjudged to be eminently qualified to participate in the governorship primaries and thus he got cleared alongside eleven others namely Senator Monday Okpebholo, Ernest Umakhihe, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Professor Oserheimen Osunbor, Hon. Anamero Dekeri, General Charles Airhiavbere(rtd), Prince Clem Agba, Col. David Imuse(rtd), Gideon Ikhine, Dennis Idahosa and Blessing Agbomhere. 

Each of the aspirants was issued a certificate to validate their status in the primaries process. 

The Edo State off season governorship poll is slated for Saturday, September 21st, while the winner of the poll will be sworn in to succeed the incumbent, Godwin Obaseki, on November 12th.
