The Coalition of Registered Political Parties(CRPP) Edo State has thrown its weight behind the aspirations of Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie Esq as governor and deputy governor of the state in the forthcoming gubernatorial poll in the state.
Addressing a Press Conference on Tuesday morning, Dr. Samson Isibor, Chairman of the CRPP, said that the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) standard bearers are “more credible to lead Edo people to the Promised Land.”
According to Isibor, the CRPP at an enlarged meeting “resolved to support and campaign for Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie joint ticket as governorship and deputy governorship candidates respectively of PDP in the September 21st, 2024, governorship election.
“The CRPP came to the conclusion after extensive consultations with the grassroot members of our group in the 18 local government areas of Edo State. We assess the antecedent and pedigree of each contesting candidates. We found the PDP candidates more credible to lead Edo people to the Promised Land.”
Going further, Isibor stated: “Asue Ighodalo is a master planner, a first class administrator whom the CRPP believe will deliver the expected dividend of democracy to the masses of the state yearning for good government from their present lamentable situation. We appeal to the people of Edo State to cast their vote for Asue/Ogie of the PDP.
“In conclusion, we therefore call on all our members in all the 18 local government areas in Edo State to work assidously to vote Asue/Ogie ticket of the PDP come September, 21st, 2024.”
