Edo 2020: APC scared of defeat, wants guber poll postponed, says PDP

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that its main opposition in the Saturday, September 19th, 2020 gubernatorial poll in Edo State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is scared of losing the election hence its desperation resort to violence so that the poll can be postponed.

The PDP made the allegation at a media briefing on Sunday afternoon addressed by its Publicity Secretary, Chris Nehikhare.

Nehikhare accused the APC leadership of sponsoring attacks on its(PDP) members all in a bid to scare voters and probably have the election postponed.

He cited as example recent attacks on the members of the PDP in some parts of the northern senatorial district of the state putting the blame on the APC.

He stated: “Edo people should not be scared. Every time this offence of attack happens the people are fished out by the Nigeria Police and they will be prosecuted.”
Going forward, he stated: “We have to congratulate Edo people for the beautiful choice that they are making. The choice of reelecting Godwin Obaseki.”
