The All Progressives Congress(APC) Delta State has commiserated with a chieftain of the party, Dr. Chris Ekiyor, over the painful exit of his beloved wife, Mrs. Gloria Ememerurai Ekiyor(nee Okagbare), a former First Lady of Patani Local Government Council.
In a condolence message that was signed by the State Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, the party expressed its deepest sympathy to Dr. Ekiyor, a former Council Chairman of Patani Local Government and a one time Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in the State under the Uduaghan administration, for the untimely demise of his beautiful wife at the relative young age of 42 years old.
Sobotie while expressing sadness over the death of the late Mrs. Ekiyor, called on members of the party to put the Ekiyor family in their prayers and to ask God to grant the bereaved the strength and fortitude to bear the traumatic loss of his dear wife at such a young age.
Until her death, Mrs. Gloria Ememerurai Ekiyor, a mother of five, was a Director of Finance, Rahi Medical Outreach and a former Special Adviser to the immediate past Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
She was a devout christian that fellowshipped with Living Faith Church(aka Winners Chapel).
